What We Do
Senior Field Management & UK wide Qual Recruitment
All projects are run by a Senior Field Manager and we recruit throughout the UK, striving for the highest quality standards.
We recruit for all Qualitative methodologies – face to face and video call Discussion Groups, Interviews and Online Communities form the bulk of our work.
Working with interviewers around the UK, we leverage local knowledge to optimise set up for face to face discussions. Video call sessions are popular with our clients and we follow a rigorous verbal and written approach to participant briefing to ensure they go smoothly.
Smart Online Solutions to compliment projects
If your project has a pre-task, we can advise and set up ways for participants to submit content online and collect data in the form of an easy to process spreadsheet.
We can collect signatures for NDAs and consent forms on your behalf electronically.
Our processes allow for bank details to be collected securely
F2F Project Support
Dig can recommend and book the best viewing facilities and meeting rooms on your behalf.
We can book hosts, translators and arrange for filming and streaming from meeting rooms.
Our team can distribute stimulus for product testing.
Incentive Handling
Let Dig take all the hassle out of paying your participants – we specialise in making rapid payments electronically.
Why Dig?
Fewer problems with senior field management
Tap into the knowledge – every project run by a Senior Field Manager with 20+ years experience.
We set every project up for success as experience allows us to pre-empt most problems.
More than just ‘on quota’
Yes, our participants are on quota- but we want much more than that for you!
Our interviewers spend extra time screening people to select the most articulate, responsive participants.
On point participant briefing
Our participants arrive early, behave appropriately and are perfectly tech equipped.
They are given an extensive briefing verbally and in writing about the most appropriate way to participate in F2F and video call discussion groups, and online communities.
Quality control & GDPR
Dig is a member of the Recruiter Accreditation Scheme and has methods in place to verify recruitment quality and combat repeat attendance.
We are hot on GDPR and can advise on the best data protection processes.
Lower fees for rapid incentive payments
Our processes are set up to make rapid incentive payments via bank transfer on your behalf.
We charge a flat fee per incentive to cover costs. This is cheaper than paying a % handling fee based on the total sum of incentive money required.
Smart online solutions
We can arrange for pre-task answers to be submitted online and delivered to you in an easy to process spreadsheet.
Our systems allow for your documents to be distributed and signed by participants electronically.
What Our Clients Say
A Bit About Me
Dig was founded in 2015 by James Diggle who has over 20 years experience working in qualitative fieldwork and was previously an Associate Director at Criteria Fieldwork.
I pride myself on being approachable and working with integrity. I like a challenge and have an enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
There has been a fair bit of change for Field in recent years and I have enjoyed developing optimised ways to tackle the challenges of GDPR, video call based research, electronic pre-tasks and mass payment of participants via bank transfer.
I am a longstanding member of the AQR and MRS and launched Dig with a paper at the AQR Conference. I was involved in the consultation stages for the Recruiter Accreditation Scheme and have a broad outlook on the industry from attending research conferences throughout my career.
In my spare time I am a keen cyclist (hopefully walking a respectable line with regards to wearing lycra!) and help run a busy cycling club in Bristol.
